The Challenge

The installation and future maintenance of PV arrays required safe and consistent access to three separate standing-seam barrel roof areas. Due to the curved, sloped nature of the roof and varying pitch levels, standard edge protection methods posed certain limitations.

To meet the safety requirements, the client needed a roof edge protection system that complied with BS EN 13374:2013 Class B, which mandates the use of mesh panels for roofs with a pitch between 11 – 30 degrees to close the gaps between guardrails.

 

The Solution
